The Good News Of Prosperity

The word prosperity when it comes to the body of Christ is shunned; yet, desired. It is one that the enemy has perverted, and because of this perversion anyone that claims prosperity especially financially is automatically called a heretic. The Gospel or good news about prosperity is called false teaching, so the body of Christ never embraces all of God’s promises and inheritance concerning their lives. It places spiritual leaders in an awkward position of knowing biblical truth concerning prosperity; yet, only teaching the ones the body of Christ openly accept due to the fear of being called a false teacher or members of that specific local church leaving. The last statement I just made is 2 Timothy 4:3 being displayed currently in the body.

This troubling fact keeps the enemy in the position of authority in those specific areas. I have to be clear because most will read the blog, and say to themselves he talking about money… and I am! However, money isn’t the only form of prosperity the word of God talks about. 3 John 1:2 AMPC says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way…”. The King James versions says, “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper…”. Prosperity isn’t just money the word clearly states in every way; yet, it has been perverted to only refer to a financial aspect. When I say, the Gospel of prosperity, the first thing most think about is preachers talking about money… This negative perception screams demonic influence. The enemy has took what is supposed to be good and an advantage in the Kingdom of God and through some individuals made it a stumbling block.

Prosperity is declared throughout the Old and New Testament. Again, prosperity isn’t just money though the bible is clear that having wealth is a part of prosperity. Below are multiple scriptures concerning prosperity, and I pray in these scriptures we bind the intentional demonic attack on the word prosperity and the negative perspective that has been given based on perversion from leaders and influence from the world.

Joshua 1:8 ESV, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Job 36:11 ESV, “If they listen and serve him, they complete their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasantness.”

1 Kings 2:3 ESV, “And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn..”

John 10:10 ESV, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

3 John 1:2 ESV, “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.”

Hebrews 11:6 ESV, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

How can something that is mentioned so much in the word of God be viewed as heresy unless it has been perverted? These verses (and more) are displayed to show that there is good news (gospel) about prosperity. That in some cases if not majority, our hearts have been made darkened by misinformation and manipulation. This misinformation and manipulation doesn’t make God’s word not accurate, but it can cut off the promises of his word in the area due to that misinformation and manipulation which is a plot of the enemy… He is also here to steal. Manipulation and misinformation is done to steal the effectiveness of the gospel in a believer’s life.  If I can change your perspective on a thing, I change the effect of that thing in your life. So, I pray that clarity, and perspectives begin to change on the good news of prosperity. That we begin to bind the attack of the enemy on our prosperity, that we stop looking at prosperity as a bad thing, but a thing that has been perverted. That has been used wrong, but it is not wrong… and with that changed perspective, I pray that you beloved will prosper in all things… In Jesus name.
