Matthew 6:25 – 33 KJV, “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Jesus in these scriptures gave us our first priorities. If you seek my kingdom and my righteousness… the things in verse 25 through 31 will be added to you. Jesus didn’t just come to remove our sins, he also came to renew our thinking… That’s why Paul said in Romans 12:2, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Conform means this… to follow, to go along with. Don’t go along with the world, but be different, be change be transformed by changing your thinking, thoughts. Paul is saying the same thing Jesus said in Matthew 6:25 – 32. The word thought is listed 4 times in these verses. So, your thoughts are extremely important! Jesus is saying, don’t think like the world thinks, be not conformed to how unbelievers do things. The things you think are important; this is how you get them… re-prioritize your priorities. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. God is and should be first. He should be first in every aspect of your life, along with HIS righteousness (Romans 5:17) and all things will flow from this proper alignment.

The things shouldn’t be the first priority and then God. Money shouldn’t be the first priority and then God. Your children shouldn’t be the first priority and then God. Your spouse/partner shouldn’t be the first priority and then God… if this is how you prioritized, you have conformed to the world’s way. So, now it’s time to renew the thinking of your mind, and the first way to do that is re-prioritizing your priorities.
