“All the world’s a stage: You are the opening act”

Honestly speaking, I didn’t wake up one day completely in love with who I am and how I look physically. I didn’t roll out of bed thinking I was this amazing person and went on into my day with my head held high; it took a lot of work and even more praying to get to that point. I came to a point where I was tired of playing the background. I realized that I had a strong voice with a lot to say and my notebooks of poetry couldn’t hold it all. I desired to be a part of life instead of just letting it pass me by. I decided that I wanted to be open to communicating with others instead of being standoffish with a horrible attitude. Even today I still have my days where I look in the mirror and desire to look a different way yet I know that I have to work towards the things I desire. No longer do I wonder what my issues are, I’m truthful with myself about them and I am working on resolving them. I desire the same for anyone reading this that feels as if they are not worth life, not enough, or just going through a storm or 3!

This life is truly what you make it. There will be times where you feel as if you are attempting to hold the world up and still function but find comfort in knowing that God can and will see you through every obstacle. “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬). There’s no need in feeling down on yourself when you are so important to a God that has walked through the fire of life just to show you that you too can endure and survive. You have the God given authority to live a life of abundance and joy. Happiness is available to you and there is enough for everyone. Be the amazing person you were born to be. Do away with the hurt, excuses, mistakes and lies you have hidden behind for so long. It’s time to come center stage.

My prayer is that this series has pierced the heart of the readers. That they have been able to examine themselves and make a vow to make changes. I sincerely hope that the writings will be passed on and that we will start to have those hard conversations with ourselves. Change is inevitable; let’s change for the better! Dream bigger dreams and start to walk in the direction of seeing them turned into realities. Love yourself in ways that you’ve never imagined and share that love with others. Be present in this life and let the world know who you are. Start proving the naysayers wrong and all of the people that could see the greatness within you right. It’s time to stop acting and start living with the expectation of success. At times you will try and fail; but picking yourself up after failure and pressing on displays true character. No longer do we have time to stare at the floor. We are important and strong, we have work to accomplish, we have lessons to learn and teach. So we take confident strides as we peer out into our futures. We are more than conquerors. We are vision in motion!

Be Blessed.
