Fix Your Doubt
At times, when we pray and don’t get the result we are looking for, our response often is, “God didn’t want me to have this” or we even go to the extreme of blaming God. You know the prayers where you have faith and you believe God for it and you still didn’t get that response you were looking for? This has happen to me multiple of times. God has told me to pray for someone who was sick. I left work, went to their home and prayed; yet, no manifestation of healing was displayed. I had faith! I had enough faith, to leave work, get in my car, go to their house and pray for them. I found myself questioning what did I do wrong. It was months that I questioned my failed attempts. “What did I do wrong? Did I say the right prayer? Did I have enough faith? I heard nothing from God in this situation. Now I didn’t stop praying, speaking healing, but I did question my effectiveness. Then the beautiful revelation was revealed while listening to a sermon from Pastor Andrew Womack. He told of this healing revival service given by Smith Wigglesworth, and during the service he brought on stage a sick woman who had tumors. The tumors was so bad that she needed help to get on stage, so Smith Wigglesworth spoke and told this sick woman she was healed and had the people assisting her onstage to let her go. The sick woman fell to the ground. They picked her up and did this two more times, each time being worst then the last due to crowd starting to complain. On the fourth time, Smith Wigglesworth spoke and said be healed in Jesus Name and the tumors dropped on stage. Instantly, the woman was healed. As Pastor Womack told this story he said this, “You know the different between me and Smith Wigglesworth? He had less doubt than I did. ”
When I heard that, I just begin to cry… The issue for me wasn’t my faith, it was the doubt I still carried around. Mark 11:23 says this, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
I can speak to a mountain and have it be removed and cast into the sea, but nothing will be removed if I’m operating in doubt in my heart. Smith Wigglesworth knew what I didn’t…
That’s this: It’s doesn’t matter how many times it fails, if you believe without doubt it should work. God’s word works, I have seen the words from that bible become walking testimonies… However, if I never see it, I now believe because God said it and I believe and trust him.
