Who I Am (Part 2) “The Voice”

Good Morning Family, Warning Transparent Post!

I pray all is well.

So hear this, the oddest thing happened to me this morning.

I woke up! Odd? No; Ok

Honestly I woke up with the dire need to worship and to be in Gods presence. Remember as I spoke on the last post, this purpose and calling comes with a cost. In this case it cost me some sleep and a little aggravation. I was a little troubled the night before because fear begin to set in. Natural  instincts when fear comes...

“BRACE YOURSELF”

But this fear took me straight to the father. Which it should do to all those who believe. Knowing that if he says to do it, it can be done. Spiritually, when fear sets in, God is planning something!! Which means it’s gonna take your faith. I was Feeling inadequate and not sure of the future of what God was calling me to.

Why?

I had just became comfortable and used to the way things were going and was beginning to adjust. We all have been here and the truth is faith is the answer to that fear. I prayed with an urgency and longing based on my feelings and what God is asking of me. So what had happened was.

I was met by a voice, a familiar voice that spoke in Truth and Love and Authority. Coming straight from the word of God. See I was expecting to hear God speak audibly. This time it was a voice but it was a leading through the word of God Christ made flesh. I was reminded of the text from the previous blog post John 10.

““Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.””

‭‭John‬ ‭10:1-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

it’s important that we understand this one thing. Christ as our Shepherd. In the context of this text we see he speaks of that authority of being the gate and the gate keeper. There is only one way to the father into the fold of God. (John 14:6). If you read the previous post than you can look closer and you see him reveal “Who We Are”...his “Sheep”!

He then explains how his sheep are only receptive of his voice and in fact “know” his voice. It’s imperative that we gain a sensitivity to God’s voice as his sheep. With all the voices in the world, only one gives salvation. Only one voice brings us into grace, peace and life. If you know who you are as his sheep you should recognize his voice. Although this passage speaks spiritually about  salvation. Let’s try some life application. This same voice is what we need to venture through  life’s test and trials, but what I’ve come to realize as of late is this same voice is what will lead me into the next season, the next endeavor, the next business venture, and or ministry.  So as his sheep what is that voice saying to you? if it’s saying do it... Just do it!

If fear is saying “I Can’t” or “What If” and “How Long”, then pray and allow that voice, the voice of the “Shepherd”, the word of God, speak to who you are as his “Sheep”! You don’t have to fear death, nor you sins of  past, present, and future because the Shepherd has victory over all of it.

I’ll leave you with a very popular scripture as encouragement.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭23:1-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
