Who I Am
Good Afternoon family. I apologize for not having a super long greeting today. But I do greet you with love, on behalf of Christ first, IGodYou and the Rapture Ready Productions family.
I’m pretty sure some of you have heard or have even seen the amazing things going on around those who I am honored to work with as well as myself. What a blessing right! I know it is. All our praying, hard work, diligence, character, work ethic. Yea! It was bound to happen! Some would say it is a prophecy fulfilled, Which is also true and a really good observations...But!!
If you know me you know 80% of the time there will be a (BUT)!!
I want you to take a look from a different perspective. With all the Glory, (which is not ours) hard work and results there is a still, quiet, existence behind it all that reaches out from the depths of all the noise and says! I AM!!! If you don’t look closely you can miss it. If you don’t look with truth and understanding you will do just that. I’ve come to understand that’s you can scream it loudly over every song, every video and every blog post some will still miss it.
What I’m saying is there takes a huge amount of authority to walk in purpose and to speak in the manner in which you see us and any other in ministry. Oh and it comes with a cost.
Why is this? You ask. Well let’s look at some scripture
“The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.””
John 10:17-18 NIV
What does that have to do with me or ministry or “Who I Am” for that matter
Well number one, we don’t often acknowledge how extremely important it is to know who we are and whose we are in our purpose when it comes to our callings and our overall walk with Christ. In the scripture Above, hear Jesus speaks on his authority based on the fathers love for him because of the sacrifice he would make.
Pay attention Jesus explains his work, the authority in which he walks in and even why he walks in it. Because God Conmanded!! He spoke in this authority to the religious leaders who could not understand where Jesus was coming from, simply because they denied who he was. Which kept them blind from receiving the truth.
What is possibly keeping you blind what haven’t you accepted about Christ, yourself and the purpose he has for you and only you.
Your walking in purpose is great but there are things you must take into account. Authority is given first by God, which means it’s not your own and that’s why it takes an extreme amount to walk in it. With that comes identity and clarity, in which is given and worked through you by the spirit. Also the cost which is indeed sacrifice, of time and other things. With this comes responsibility, and attack’s. Rejection and being miss understood.
Jesus spoke of an authority as our Shepherd “The Good Shepherd” (John 10:1-18) The One who never leaves his sheep and his sheep only hearing his voice which is the beautiful protection we have in Christ. He ends it by saying who gives him this same authority, God.
Again he speaks of an authority outside of himself even though he had his own. He gave it up, humbled himself. We must be that way as well giving of ourselves and finding our identity and authority in Christ just as he did in the father. This will keeps us aligned doing the work and will of the Christ.
Remember God is Love and IGodYou
