Before The Rapture : The Purpose Of The Enemy by Ewell Netter

We often pray  that God take away the enemy, we only want positivity around us, we don’t want any “fake friends”, etc.  and I get it! I completely understand not wanting anything to hinder or cause confusion or bring hate, hurt or persecution. However, there’s essential purpose of the enemy. Don’t believe that? Here’s some scriptures God provided concerning the enemy: Psalms 23:5 NIV, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

Psalms 110:1 NIV, “….The LORD says to my lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."

God will prepare a table in the presence of your enemies, while anointing you and make them a footstool at your feet. In both of these scriptures; God isn’t removing the enemies… He’s actually elevating you in their presence!  God will bring enemies into your life to elevate you to levels that without them, you couldn’t reach. There’s purpose in the enemy and it’s elevation! The greatest example of this is the Cross. Jesus’ enemies came against him to kill him; and in that moment provided Jesus his greatest victory and this victory cause the entire world to be changed forever.

Can I leave you with this revelation? God always uses the enemy to multiply you… There’s not one place in the bible where the enemy wasn’t placed to elevate a Man or Woman of God. Pray for clarity to discern the purpose of the enemy, and begin to thank God for your pending elevation.
